If you’re new to surfing or still working on catching your own waves, this is the ideal week for you. Under the guidance of our ISA-certified coaches, you will focus on building confidence and mastering the fundamentals of surfing. Whether you’re learning to stand up or refining your technique, you’ll gain the skills you need to progress and enjoy the thrill of the waves.

• 2 surf sessions a day: Our guides will help you catch and ride waves at your own pace.

• Two video analysis sessions: On Day 2 and Day 5, review your progress with the coaches and refine your technique.

Waves at Rancho Santana

Located on Nicaragua’s Pacific Coast, Rancho Santana has some of the best surf conditions in the region. With steady offshore winds and a diverse coastline, the area offers year-round warm weather and consistent waves. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced surfer, Rancho Santana provides a wide variety of waves to suit all levels.

• Playa Santana: A rippable beach break with fun peaks, perfect for intermediate and advanced surfers.
• Playa Rosada: This secluded pink sand beach features a unique left point reef break, exclusively accessible to resort guests.
• Panga Drops: A reef break next to Playa Los Perros, where beginner lessons take place.
• Off-property surf spots: Within a 30-40 minute drive, you’ll find over six different surf breaks, from long left point breaks to barreling beach breaks—ensuring we match the ideal wave to your skill level

A Day During Your Surf Week

• 6 am: Start your day with a quick coffee and head to your first surf session. Breakfast and snacks are provided on the go.
• Surf Session (1-2 hours): Enjoy the morning waves before returning to the beach for a well-deserved break and breakfast.
• Second Surf Session: Visit to a new surf spot to make the most of the day’s conditions.
• 1 pm: Return to the resort for a light, fresh lunch featuring tacos and ceviche at La TaquerÍa.
• Video Analysis: Watch footage from the previous day’s session, and receive personalized feedback to refine your technique.
• Afternoon Relaxation: Enjoy the resort’s amenities before dinner.
• Dinner: End the day with a delicious meal at one of the resort’s restaurants.

The Inn at Rancho Santana

Set serenely on Nicaragua’s breathtaking Emerald Coast, The Inn at Rancho Santana offers a tranquil and luxurious base for your surf retreat. This two-story beachfront boutique hotel features 17 rooms and suites, ranging in size from 350 to 850 square feet. Each room boasts a private terrace and is beautifully furnished with handcrafted furniture made by local artisans at the resort’s on-site woodshop, ensuring a blend of comfort and authenticity.
