Peer into the mouth of an active volcano, or learn more about the culture here in rural Nicaragua.  All guided tours depart from Rancho Santana to places of interest throughout Nicaragua.

Once confirmed, no-shows and cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled tour will be charged in full.

Masaya Volcano Night Tour

March 22nd, March 25th, April 1st & April 5th

Experience one of the most active volcanoes in the world right here in Nicaragua. The Masaya Volcano’s crater can be easily accessed by vehicle, and at night, offers visitors a rare and incredible view of lava bubbling in the mouth of the crater below. Afterwards, enjoy dinner at one of Granada’s highly acclaimed restaurants.

Includes transportation, guide, park entrance, dinner, and non-alcoholic beverages. Tour departs from Rancho Santana at 1pm & returns at 11pm. $130/person.

San Juan del Sur Adventure

March 26th & April 4th

Located south of Rancho Santana, San Juan del Sur has transformed from a sleepy fishing village to a premier travel destination.  Our morning will begin in Finca Las Nubes, where we will go off roading in Atv´s to Finca Las Nubes for an adventure filled day that includes, zip lining through the San Juan forest, hiking and enjoying wildlife in its habitat.  Then we’ll spend a leisurely afternoon at Treecasa resort, where we will enjoy a wonderful lunch and a chance to cool off by the pool.

Granada Classic City Tour

March 28th, 30th & April 2nd

Drawn by year-round warm weather, colonial-era architecture and Lake Nicaragua, travelers from around the world are flocking to Granada. The tour stops at the Mombacho Volcano for zip lining followed by a tour of the historical city of Granada. We’ll lunch at one of Granada’s many fine restaurants before finishing the day on a boat tour around Las Isletas (the lake islands).

Includes transportation, guide, zip lining, boat tour, lunch, and non-alcoholic beverages. Tour departs from Rancho Santana at 7am & returns at 6pm. $130/person. *Available to guests aged 6+

Ometepe Classic Tour

March 27th & April 3rd

Located in Lake Nicaragua, Ometepe is truly a sight to behold. It is home to not one, but two volcanos, Concepcion and Maderas, which are visible from all parts of the island.

Begin your morning taking in the rich flora and fauna of the island with a short hike at Chaco Verde, then cross over to the clear freshwater springs at Ojo de Agua before grabbing lunch. Then we’ll pass by Finca Magdalena to view ancient petroglyphs and watch the sunset over Lake Nicaragua on the return ferry.

Includes guide, water springs entrance, ferry ticket, light breakfast, lunch, and non-alcoholic beverages.  Tour departs from Rancho Santana at 5:30am and returns at 7pm. $150/person.

Cuascoto Rural Tour

Visit the local farms of the Cuascoto Community where you will learn about traditional agricultural practices while participating in a wide variety of activities like picking fruit and planting and harvesting rice, beans, and maize. Enjoy hands on demonstrations of food preparation and authentic Nicaraguan refreshments. Transportation within the community is done in typical Nicaraguan fashion – via Oxcart and horseback.
